Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Front End Developer to work for our company.
Summary:
- Client Agency is DHS
- Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Will lead the development and maintenance of cutting-edge user interfaces using modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Will optimize code to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Will design and implement responsive, mobile-first web applications for seamless cross-device usability.
- Will collaborate with back-end teams to integrate APIs and ensure smooth front-end/back-end communication.
- Will conduct thorough testing and debugging to uphold quality and usability standards.
- Will utilize version control systems like Git for efficient collaboration and code management.
- Will monitor application performance and implement improvements for a seamless user experience.
- Will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to deliver functional applications aligned with business goals.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Previous experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration.
- Previous experience with modern build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, NPM, Yarn).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be willing and able to attend on-site meetings in Camp Springs, MD on an as needed basis.
- Must be willing and able to participate in a code challenge and orals presentation.
Preferences:
- Certifications in front-end frameworks or tools (e.g., Angular Certification, React Developer Certification).
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools and techniques.
