Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to work for our company.
Summary:
- Must have a current U.S. Government SECRET / IT-II Clearance. (Sponsorship will not be provided)
- Is responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure.
- Provides technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning,
- implementation, and ongoing operation of databases.
- Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
- Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.
- Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.
- Depicts complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope, and status to project teams.
- Must be willing and able to travel to the client site in Washington, DC approximately 25% annually.
Requirements:
- Must have a current U.S. Government SECRET / IT-II Clearance. (Sponsorship will not be provided)
- Must have a Microsoft Certified personnel certification.
- Must have one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH.
- Must currently have or be willing to obtain one of the following certifications: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations 2020 Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator, Oracle Java SE 8 Programmer I, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Essentials (OEM 12c), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) 12c R1: Fundamentals, Oracle Planning 202x Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), and Oracle Identity Governance 12c: Essentials.
- Must have 5+ years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server database administration and analysis support.
- Must have hands-on experience with Windows and HP Unix operating systems (Windows Server 2016 / HP-UX 11.3.x), Oracle Database 11g database technology, PL/SQL programming, Oracle stored procedures, database performance tuning, E-R database design principles and methodology, backup and recovery, systems analysis, security practices and system documentation.
- Must have previous experience with Windows 2016 and operating systems, SQL Server 2012 database administration, T-SQL programming, database performance tuning, backup and recovery, systems analysis, security practices and system documentation.
- Must be willing and able to travel to the client site in Washington, DC approximately 25% annually.
