Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a UNIX Administrator to work for our company.
Summary:
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance / IT-I or above (Sponsorship will not be provided).
- Will ensure the stable operation of computer software systems and network connections including but not limited to the following: planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
- Will organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
- Will analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues.
- Will conduct capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and
- Will increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
- Will provide end user training.
- Will provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
- Will provide local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
- Will support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications.
- Will direct the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
- Will apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
- Will perform vulnerability management.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site at one of the following locations: Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, or Richmond, VA.
Requirements:
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance / IT-I or above (Sponsorship will not be provided).
- Must currently hold one of the following certifications: CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
- Must have 7+ years of systems administration experience on UNIX operating systems
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Solaris, or HP-UX. - Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, tuning and patching.
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with administration, configuration and troubleshooting experience with UNIX Server Cluster, Load Balancing and Virtualization.
- Must have experience managing and supporting UNIX/Linux systems, including virtual and stand-alone environments such as Red Hat (v7+), Solaris (v11+), and HP-UX (v11.31+), across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Must be proficient in the federal lifecycle management processes, including system deployment, patching, upgrades, and configuration in compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards (e.g., STIGs, ACAS, RMF, DIACAP).
- Must have experience with system security compliance and vulnerability mitigation, including log analysis, intrusion detection, STIG implementation, ACAS scan remediation, and alignment with DoD 8500.2, 8510.01, NIST SP 800-37, and 800-53.
- Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining COTS products like Splunk, HBSS, ArcSight, and Trellix per J6 direction.
- Must have hands-on experience with privileged access management using tools such as Red Hat Identity Manager (IDM) for user and system accounts.
- Must have previous experience conducting technical troubleshooting support, performance monitoring, and system recovery for mission-critical UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Must have experience supporting cybersecurity certification & accreditation (C&A) processes, preparing RMF/DIACAP documentation, conducting technical reviews, and participating in readiness assessments for system authorization.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site at one of the following locations: Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, or Richmond, VA.
